Bedding Layer Installation (Sand Screeding)

What happens here

The worker transports sand using the Ryobi electric power wheelbarrow and dumps it onto the compacted gravel base. Screed pipes (long PVC pipes) are then laid parallel on the base at the desired finished height of the sand layer. A long, straight level or screed board is pulled across the top of these pipes, effectively shaving off excess sand and creating a perfectly flat and uniform bedding layer. The screed pipes are then carefully removed, and the small channels left behind are filled with sand and smoothed.

Goal: A precise layer of bedding sand is installed and leveled using screed pipes and a straight edge to create a uniform surface for the pavers.
