I broke the tractor! Let's do some "blacksmith work" And an Unexpected Setback!

What happens here

The project begins with the user identifying a severely bent mower blade on their Ventrac 4500Y finish mower. The damage occurred after inadvertently running over a large rock partially buried in the grass. The blade is visibly warped and bent out of shape, making it unsuitable for effective mowing. The immediate goal is to temporarily straighten the blade to finish the current mowing task, acknowledging that a full replacement will be necessary later.

Goal: Understand the extent of the damage to the mower blade and formulate a repair strategy.

Tools and materials

  • Ventrac 4500Y Mower Ventrac — The primary equipment on which the blade is installed
