Smooth and Adjust Remaining Carpet

What happens here

After the bullnose and front edge are properly aligned and snug, proceed to press down on the remaining surface of the carpet landing. Use your hands to smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles, pushing them towards the edges. The presenter notes that it is acceptable if a few small bubbles remain, as carpet can often relax and flatten out over time, especially with regular foot traffic. If the carpet requires further adjustment to be perfectly straight or to achieve a better fit, you can gently lift an edge and give it a slight tug to reposition it, without causing damage to the material.
