How to stain a fence. Spraying a fence with an airless paint sprayer.

What happens here

Begin by gathering all necessary tools and equipment. The video specifies using a 2.5-foot extension gun (spray gun extension) with a 310 tip for the sprayer. Ensure your sprayer is set to a low-pressure setting, such as on a Graco 440 model. You will also need a 3M hand masker loaded with 1.5-inch tape, a 2.5-gallon bucket for stain, a 2.5-inch angled sash brush, and a 4-inch nap roller for back-rolling and back-brushing.

Goal: Ensure all necessary equipment is on hand and ready for use.

We've um in this task, we've got a 3M hand masker with inch and a half tape, and we've used that. We've got the fence where it dead ends into a stucco house right here. And we've masked two rows of um uh masking around the house so we don't get overspray on the house. And if you're um uncomfortable or have little experience spraying, you probably want to put at least three rows of masking there so you don't get overspray on the house. And we've got cardboard shields down here. There's rock around here. We're going to try to minimize the cardboard um or the overspray on the rocks and the cardboard shields help do that. We also use the cardboard shields to minimize the overspray over the top. We've got uh a 2 and 12 gallon bucket with uh 2 and 1/2 in angled sash brush and a 4 in nap that
