Prepare Deck and Gather Materials

In this video, we're going to be staining a small deck. This deck has been power washed 2 days prior and it's all dried out now. And we're going to be using a Mesmer product. This is Mesmer's UV+ dark walnut stain. Another thing we'll actually be using during this task is paint thinner cuz it's a oil-based product. We've got a 5gallon bucket here that has paint thinner in it. When we're actually all done, we just take our brushes, put it in the paint thinner, let it set for a day, and then we begin cleaning them out the next day. We got this deck here that we powerwashed. It's all dry, and now we're actually staining. We like to use a oilbased stain brush, black china bristle or white China bristle.
