How to remove wallpaper. Tips removing wallpaper with a steamer.

What happens here

Begin by assessing the wall to be stripped of wallpaper. This project focuses on an interior wall approximately 8.5 feet high by 12 feet wide. Gather all necessary tools and materials, including an electric wallpaper steamer, a ladder, a drop cloth to protect the floor, a trash bag for removed wallpaper, two putty knives (2-inch and 4-inch), a screwdriver for removing wall plates, and an Xacto knife for precise cuts around trim. The steamer used is a Warner Electric Wallpaper Steamer, which costs around $400 to purchase, but can often be rented for about $75 a day. Note that the steamer typically comes with two different fittings: a wide one (approx. 6 inches) for general areas and a smaller one (approx. 2 inches) for tight spaces like behind toilets.

Goal: Set up the work environment and ensure all necessary equipment is on hand.
