How To Remove & Install Vinyl Blinds. DIY Blind installation and Removal Tips.

removing this blind. We're going to raise the blind all the way up. And then this blind has a face on it right here, these little clips. And if you put just a little bit of pressure this on these things, be very careful cuz they get really brittle from being up here in the sun a lot. So, they'll break easily. If you do break them, they sell replacement brace clips at Home Depot, but you just put a little little pressure on it and your finger and just push towards the window and these little things will pop off and this exposes the face of the blind right here. And now this has a clip right here that's actually going to rotate out and up. If you push on the bottom just a little bit, I like to take a five in one tool. You can take a flaad screwdriver and just rotate that up. Same with this one here. Rotate that up. And make keep your hand on it cuz you don't want this blind falling out. Now, this blind will actually just slide right out. This has the handle that adjusts that opens and closes the blinds. This handle actually will come off, too. And you want to remove the handle. It just has a a little clip that just holds that handle on. So, just remove that handle. And then once again, we're going to take our line. Going to roll up our line so it doesn't get tangled. And then the back side of the line. already has a sticker on it telling you the style of blind. We're going to put a label on that. Identify where it came from. And then we'll just tap that right to it. That line is good to go and be moved into another room. You got your faces. You can actually attach your faces to the blind, too, so it doesn't those don't get lost or broken. Just like that. That's how you remove a horizontal blind. at the front of the blind. You want to make sure the strings at the front. This is at the front of the adjuster. Going to flip up our brackets so the blind will slide in. Once the blind slides in, going to snap two brackets in place, locking the blind in place. right off. Once we get the blinds off, we like to so the cords don't get tangled, you like to roll the ends up. And this makes it when you're putting the blinds back on and when you're storing them that these things don't get in a big mess and get all tangled up and it makes your job a lot easier reinstalling the blinds. So, I take and roll my lines back up. And then I'm going to take the back side of the blind. And this is where I'm going to label the blind. I'll take a roll of tape. Just use for a 3M masking tape. I'm going to put it on the back of the blind up here. And this window comes out of a room where there's multiple blinds. And so, I'm going to identify this left window. so I'll get that blind labeled things ready to store. And the way that [snorts]
