How to Rebuild a Chainsaw Engine
What happens here
Start by removing the sharp components of the chainsaw for safety. This includes the guide bar and chain. Use a 'ratchet scrunch' (a ratcheting chainsaw tool) or a standard wrench to loosen and remove the nuts securing the side cover. Once the nuts are off, remove the side cover, which also detaches the bar and chain. Place these sharp parts aside. Put on orange rubber gloves to keep hands clean and prevent grease transfer. Note that this particular chainsaw was not cleaned extensively before disassembly.
Goal: Safely remove the chainsaw's cutting components.
