Mask Exterior Trim and Sides

What happens here

Mask off the exterior trim and sides of the garage door opening. Secure masking paper around the outside of the door jambs and above the door to prevent paint overspray from getting on the house walls. If the trim is intended to be painted the same color as the garage door, you would mask the wall directly next to the trim. However, if the trim is to remain a different color or not be painted, mask directly onto the trim itself.
