What happens here
After the Aqua Coat grain filler has fully dried on the cabinet doors, it's time for sanding. Use 220-grit sandpaper (or a sanding sponge with equivalent grit) to lightly sand the entire surface of each door. The fine grit is crucial for achieving a perfectly smooth and level surface without scratching the primer or grain filler. Sand until the surface feels completely smooth to the touch, and all visible signs of wood grain texture have been eliminated. Be careful not to sand through the grain filler or primer layer. The goal is to remove any residual grain filler on the surface, leaving it only embedded in the wood pores. Wipe down the sanded doors with a tack cloth or lint-free cloth to remove all dust before proceeding to the next step.
Goal: Lightly sand the grain-filled cabinet doors with 220-grit sandpaper to achieve a perfectly smooth and level surface, removing any remaining grain filler residue.
