How to paint oak cabinets FAST/EASY
What happens here
Carefully remove all cabinet doors and drawer fronts from the cabinet boxes. It is crucial to label each door and its corresponding hinge/placement to ensure correct reinstallation. Once doors are removed, thoroughly clean all surfaces of the cabinet boxes and doors using a degreasing agent like Dawn dish soap and warm water, scrubbing with a sponge to remove any grease, grime, or previous finishes. Rinse well and allow to dry completely. Mask off all surrounding areas that are not to be painted using painter's tape and masking film. Use a caulking gun to apply caulk, specifically 'White Lightning BOLT QuickDry' siliconized acrylic latex caulk, into any panel seams or gaps on the cabinet doors to prevent paint from seeping into them and to create a smooth, sealed surface.
Goal: Begin by removing all cabinet doors and drawer fronts, labeling them for easy reinstallation. Clean all cabinet surfaces thoroughly, mask surrounding areas, and caulk any panel seams on the doors.
