Mask and Tape Shower Area for Painting

What happens here

Once the shower is completely dry, proceed with masking to protect all adjacent surfaces from paint. Begin by applying painter's tape, such as Frog Tape, precisely along all edges where the shower meets the wall or tile. This tape is crucial for creating sharp, clean lines and preventing paint bleed-through. After applying the tape, extend the protection by affixing two rows of 9-inch masking paper over the tape and onto the surrounding walls. Secure the paper firmly with additional tape if necessary. Ensure that any removed fixtures (like the shower head and knobs) are covered if they are nearby, or moved out of the painting area. Finally, lay a drop cloth on the bathroom floor to catch any drips or overspray.
