How To Install An Ice Maker Box In Your Home
What happens here
After all soldering is complete and the joints have cooled, open the main water shut-off valve slowly. As water flows, check the kitchen faucet (or another nearby faucet) for flow to ensure the system is repressurizing. Once water is flowing at the faucet, fully open the main shut-off valve. Then, open the new shut-off valve inside the ice maker box. Carefully inspect all soldered joints for any signs of leaks. Use a paper towel to wipe around the joints and check for moisture. If any leaks are found, the water must be shut off again, the joint dried, reheated, and resoldered.
Goal: Verify that all new plumbing connections are leak-free.
