Attach Hose Fitting & Hose to Spillway

What happens here

With the spillway securely in place, the next step is to attach the hose fitting to its connection point. Before screwing the fitting into the spillway, apply thread sealant generously to the fitting's threads to ensure a watertight seal. Tighten the fitting a couple of turns past hand-tight to secure it properly without causing damage. Following this, connect the flexible hose from the pump to this newly attached fitting. If necessary, trim the hose to the appropriate length. It is important to ensure that there are no sharp bends or kinks in the hose that could impede or restrict the water flow, which would reduce the efficiency of the waterfall.
