What happens here

This project provides a detailed comparison of various pressure washing attachments, including a power scrubber, power broom, and different nozzle types (0, 15, 25, 40-degree, and soap). The demonstration highlights how each tool performs on different surfaces like a wooden deck and concrete, emphasizing the importance of selecting the right attachment and pressure to prevent surface damage and achieve effective cleaning. It also covers proper pressure washer startup and cleaning outdoor rugs.

you can see where the power scrubber does it just a beautiful even job and then this one is scarring up the wood all right guys dirt monkey here and I got Frankie with and today we're gonna be talking about pressure washing we're gonna be actually doing a compare and contrast of a power scrubber that's what this thing is called Frankie and a power broom that's this tool right here we're gonna work these side by each and then we're gonna also talk about when you want these versus when you want something like a nozzle like this or one of these nozzles right here so without wasting any more time let's just do this thing [Applause] all right guys so one of the things that we want to cover is with tools and attachments like this when you pressure wash a deck you have to be extremely careful because you can easily scar a deck now today we're going to be using a steel RB 800 which happens to be their biggest one this is in a sales pitch form this is the one that we use because not only do we do decks but we also do heavy equipment and the more pressure we have the better right would be even better if we had an attached hot water tank for pressure washing equipment because that melts the grease instead of just blowing it off right but when we come to a deck we have to be super careful because a pressure washer like this one will chew up the wood and scar it and so we want to actually show these guys how each one of these attachments work when you may want one when you may want another we also want to talk about the actual pressure that we use on a unit like this now this pressure washer has an adjustable pressure washer system so you can adjust the pressure up you can adjust the pressure down so you can fine-tune this for different surfaces that's why this pressure washer is ideal for a general purpose application adjusting your pressure is extremely important depending on the surface that you're cleaning on concrete you can crank it all the way up to get the most effective deep clean possible but if you use that same pressure on a wood deck you will scar it and we're actually going to show you that now now what we're demonstrating is the power scrubber on a concrete surface this power scrubber hands down is going to be the best universal cleaner that you can purchase and we're going to show you that on the two typical surfaces that you would be cleaning that's on concrete and also on decking now on other surfaces and other applications the power broom then would take over let's flip over to the power broom now and show you how that works in comparison to this power scrubber on concrete and then we're going to show it to you again on wood now we've switched from the power scrubber which was the round thing to the power broom now this is concrete and you're going to see how effective this works but let's also pre caution you to let you know that this surface has already been wetted so the soil should start to be loosened up the power broom has its time in place it does not do quite as even a pattern on a surface as the power scrubber but still if you have certain areas that you really need to get into this might be a fine attachment and I wanted to make sure that you at least seen it and got familiar enough with it to make a determination if you want the power broom or the power scrubber plus if you have a non adjustable pressure washer and you get too close to a soft surface like this deck that's when problems arise but these units take a lot of the guesswork out of it Frankie what's your experience with these units okay so Frankie's preferred nozzle is this multi whatever than one all the way to 40 degrees okay so you've got zero here and then you can just turn it and you got fifteen twenty five forty plus you can do a rinse cycle and you also have a soap application on this now if you don't for the soap container okay okay and then right here on this unit we have different nozzle heads which do the exact same thing as this so where this one says zero and you just flip a switch he actually would have to physically take this off go over to your pressure unit now you have what head on this right now Frankie okay we're gonna demonstrate this nozzle right now and show you why one size does not fit all when it comes all right so we can see how fast that's starring yeah I mean exactly it's funny pretty good you can actually see see it feels so this is where that circular nozzle is even with you holding it off we can adjust the pressure down but no matter what you can see where the power scrubber does are just a beautiful even job and then this one is scarring up the wood that's gonna be nice burning heavy Clement yep let's show them the different nozzle patterns so this is how you literally just snap this ring off and you can snap any one of these other heads in and don't worry if you lose one you can usually buy these from anywhere but they're not Universal so a lot of guys think that red is good red means good no matter where you are or yellow green they're not all the same so you got to make sure that you're getting the right width on your nozzle head but let's fire up the power scrubber Oh eventually we're gonna get to this carpet we're gonna talk about why this carpet this rug is out here okay but let's fire these up and show these guys how this works now a Prowler scrubber like this is a self-contained unit that circulates the water and distributes an even pattern onto a soft surface below it making it probably one of the best general-purpose cleaners for concrete for decks for a lot of flat surfaces you're gonna find that a unit like this is one of those go-to units now this will usually cost anywhere from 50 to maybe $75 for a decent one and it literally slides right on and you're done you're good to go so let's move these out of the way and if you're curious what this cool little contraption is guys this is actually for gutters you can slide this on to the end of your wand slip this up into a gutter blow it out and you're in business saves a lot of time a lot of back-breaking effort let's put these out of the way okay so let's talk about when you initially fire up your pressure washer you may have to release the pressure on the pump to get it to actually fire not all units are made the same but some of them will have pressure when you as soon as you start pulling on it it won't want to fire up she won't want to pull she won't want to fire one of the things that a lot of people don't know is before I got into YouTube I actually had a company that was doing pressure washing decks and surfaces and we would refinish decks and surfaces now guys we're gonna start off scrubbing this deck with the power scrubber which is still even though it's the safest of the attachments it still actually turned up too high especially with this RB 800 pressure washer this RB 800 pressure washer is a powerhouse and so you've gotta be careful when you use it on these soft surfaces now when you're when we're scrubbing right now if you can see the scarring that's happening underneath the wood and you see how he's wanting it side to side he really should be following the grain of the deck even with one of these circular scrubbers it does a better job when you follow the grain of the deck instead of going side to side on the deck there you go Frankie now you got it to get even consistent results without scarring the wood we ended up turning the pressure washer down two more times before we fine-tuned it to where we felt at least comfortable with it now that we get the power scrubber going let's actually show you how the power brew works on this same surface then let's show you that weird nozzle thing that Frankie likes and a few of the other spray nozzles that you guys are going to probably see out there so you know which one is right for you when you put the power broom on and then go the wrong way on the deck I want to show these guys how that can scar the deck so you can see the marks that it left in the deck and that was cleaning it but it will leave those ittle H the marks in deeper yeah and so when you do it with a power broom you got to be a little more careful now you're using the same pressure as you did with the power scrubber the orange attachment how much more effective the power scrubber actually is so guys we're doing a one or the other well that would be the way to go the power scrubber and concrete let's um let's flip on a nozzle and just demonstrate the difference there we've got some fresh decking right there that we can use let's show them the different nozzle patterns we'll start with zero and then we'll work our way up you know we'll just shoot wherever all right you ready yeah so now we've done the deck we've showed the different attachments and tools I think it's pretty convincing that the power scrubber is the way to go it's definitely the way to go far superior to anything else available it's worth the investment if you're going to do just even one deck or multiple decks you're gonna save a ton of time a ton of time and it's gonna look so much better even then than anything else I mean it's pretty night and day but now before we let these guys go you've cleaned a ton of rugs rugs rugs yeah carpet I do mine every year every wash then guys usually will throw these out you know because they get dirty and all you got to do is this is how you do it Frankie yeah yeah and why you've got got a clothesline or whatever I put them on but same thing okay do you normally hang them over yeah okay where the water can run it dirt you'll see I'm a serial commodities well these were already clean though weren't they don't matter you're still gonna get a lot of dirt yeah so what so shall we raise it so we can see the dirt a little you'll see you'll see the dirt on right off the bottom how a bit different it'll be all right do you want to use the 40-degree pattern okay so that's an important thing to note in this case you would use oh shoot we got a 65 we never showed them the 65 yeah do you want to use that one er no cuz usually once I get it off soap then I usually put soap on them too you know but we got a soap dispenser so okay that way I can run soap on them alright let's fire this up all right you guys well while Frankie's cleaning this carpet let me know your experiences in the comments down below a lot of you guys make your living day in and day out running these machines and I want to hear from you guys good bad in between what is your experiences with the different pressure washers what rekt what tools do you recommend and what's kind of insider tips can you give everybody else watching this video and you everybody else watching the video check the comments down below these guys are a wealth of knowledge god bless you guys go get them stay clean alright so this will knock that I mean this will clean your rugs that's a guarantee and if you worried about puncturing through the carpet use a wider wider the better wider the nozzle so a 65 if you got more delicate and if you use a zero well then you're gonna you're gonna put a hole in it all right
