How to Hatch Eggs with an Incubator | Everything you need to know for success!

What happens here

After the brooder is fully set up, gently place the hatched chicks into their new home. For the first few days, it's recommended to dip each chick's beak into the water and then the feed to ensure they know where to find their resources. Observe the chicks' behavior to ensure they are comfortable. If they are stressed or too cold, they may develop 'pastey butt' (clogged vent), which needs to be cleaned immediately to prevent severe health issues. The brooder heater should be set to 100-103°F initially.

Goal: Ensure chicks acclimate to the brooder and monitor their health.
