What happens here
Prepare the feeder and waterer. For the feeder, an aluminum trough feeder is used, which can be filled with 18% chick starter feed. For the waterer, a Mason jar with a screw-on base is used. To prevent drowning, place gravel or small rocks in the waterer's base. Place the waterer on a piece of cardboard to keep shavings out of the water. Place the feeder and waterer in the brooder, away from directly under the heat lamp.
Goal: Provide accessible food and water in the brooder.
