If after checking the oil level and the gas cap, the power washer is still experiencing stalling or running issues, the next step is to check the fuel quality. Modern gasoline, especially blends containing ethanol, can degrade and go bad relatively quickly, particularly when stored in small engines or left unused for extended periods. This 'dirty' or 'bad gas' can clog fuel lines and carburetors, leading to poor engine performance or stalling. To address this, drain any old fuel from the tank and replace it with fresh, new gasoline. This can often resolve performance issues caused by stale or contaminated fuel.
