this mixing up our hot mud. We want something that's going to dry really fast so we can sand it and then texture it really quick so we don't have to make this a multi-day job. Now I'm just going to begin adding water to my pan till I get the consistency that I want. Just got my pan right here. It's pretty simple process. just mixing it. I'm just using use a 3 in or 4 in knife and applying it with a 3 or 4 in knife. And then I'll be smoothing it out with my taping knife right here. And this is a 6-in taping knife. So, you just want a nice smooth creamy consistency with your hot mud. If you get it too wet and it's too runny, you could just add little bit more hot mud back into it. dry powder to thicken it up. So, I'm just continuing to mix this to a nice consistency. I'll show you what it looks like. This is our actual right here. 5 minute hot mud that we're using. Hopefully, you can see that. I want to make sure I work out all the little um chunks out of here. You want it nice and smooth. You want it the consistency to be thick enough that it'll actually hang on here and not run off the wall.
