What happens here

This video provides a step-by-step guide on how to patch and repair damaged stucco on a house. The damage was caused by improper roof flashing leading to water infiltration. The process involves scraping off loose stucco, cleaning the surface, applying a pre-mixed stucco patch using a hawk and trowel (and a brush for detailed areas) to match the existing texture, and finally priming the repaired sections before a full repaint with an elastomeric coating (painting process is referenced in another video).

This is Chris the Idaho Painter. In this video, we're going to show you how to do a Stuckco patch. I've got a Stuckco house here, and we've got some damage to the Stuckco because of water running down the side of it because of it being improperly flashed on the roof. So, stay tuned for this video while we teach you how to do a Stuckco patch. So, in this process, we're going to be scraping the loose stucco off, getting everything off, wiping it down with a rag, clean it really good, and then we're going to be applying our Stuckco to match the current Stuckco that's on the house. Then, we're going to prime it with a primer, and then we're going to be paint it with an Elastame coating. So, here we go. We have Stucco right here that's there's the flashing on the roof is not flashed properly. So, the water's running down the side of the house, getting behind the stucco, and causing the vinyl color coat to bubble off. And we're scraping it all off. We're going to re um uh touch it up with our stucco patch. And then we'll be painting this whole house. We'll be painting the stucco and then we'll be reflashing it up there where it's running down the side of the house so it doesn't do it anymore. Come on. Make it look good. Greg, scrub like you mean it. you know how it would come out and see if people they like it or not like it and got a lot of good comments on it. Just using premixed stucco patch to work on this stucco patch. Got a couple uh 4 inch 3 inch uh spackle knives. And we're using a hawk and a 14inch trow. You just do fill this all in. Yeah. Now, we're going to let this dry and we're going to coat it with a primer called Peel Bond Prime RX. We're going to prime that and then we're going to paint the house after that. So, hopefully you enjoyed this video, how to patch and repair stucco. I do have a video on how to paint stuckco using elastime coating.
