Measure and Cut New Corner Metal

What happens here

Take a new piece of square corner metal, also known as corner bead, and measure it against the opening on the wall. Using tin snips, cut the new metal to the required length, ensuring an overlap of approximately a quarter inch with the existing, undamaged corner metal at the top and bottom of the repair area. This overlap helps create a stronger, more seamless transition.
