How to butcher chicken at home, detailed instruction you'll find nowhere else!
What happens here
After scalding, the chickens are placed into a mechanical plucker. The plucker is turned on, and cold water is continuously sprayed into the drum to aid in feather removal and keep the plucker clean. The rubber fingers inside the plucker rapidly remove the feathers, leaving the chicken mostly feather-free. Any remaining pin feathers or stubborn wingtip feathers can be removed by hand during subsequent processing steps.
Goal: Remove feathers from scalded chickens
