What happens here

This project demonstrates the process of lifting sunken concrete slabs and filling voids using specialized polyurethane foam (HMI Foam Injection) and FillFoam. The video showcases the chemical reaction of the foam, the small and efficient drilling and injection process for slab lifting, and the flowable nature of FillFoam for void filling in various applications. It highlights the advantages of these modern techniques over traditional methods, emphasizing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and minimal disruption.

today we're going to demonstrate lifting concrete slabs using polyurethane and then we're going to do some void filling before we can start a Jacke polyurethane underneath the slab to lift them you have to understand with everything about polyurethane although this isn't a chemistry class it helps you understand what's going to be happening under the slab polyurethane is really a liquid to liquid part A Part B and put it together you get a chemical reaction that chemical reaction has two effects what is heat and the second is expansion for help you get to help you visualize what's gonna happen under the slab but but if Jesse is going to mix up some of our to count all right here we have multiple phones the Bolton to application this particular foam is ideal for residential would be the to town for his characteristic car it was set up [Music] and we'll end up with a product that's got a psi of 30 now please visualize it gets injected and mixed at the typical gun injected as a liquid underneath the slab the chemical reaction happens and that is what lifts your concrete it is not the force of the injection to be repetitive because under is a liquid spreads out sets up and licks your concrete like the pillow from underneath mitigating the probability of cracking the plan alright guys I was walking through a world of concrete when I came across a demonstration on how to raise sunken concrete using foam now I did ask about sand jacking and mud jacking and I was it was explained to me that this was a much cleaner better safer process but I don't know a whole lot about it so I'm going to just show you the demonstration and also let you know that these guys actually offer classes on how to raise sunken concrete they teach you how to price it out and they'll actually go out to a job site and walk you step-by-step through the process which is probably a lot better than I could do for you so because whenever I raise sunken concrete it always comes out in little teeny tiny pieces and ends up in the back of a dump truck because that's not my area of expertise so let's get back into the demonstration [Music] okay now we understand what's going to be happening so let slip some concrete we follow a process called drill bump - hip here is going to go five days inch hole on this left all right the 5:18 tolls important issue is not minor historically with system concrete repair systems like slap jacking a much I mean they drilled one in five eight inch hole so they had a trailer laudable because they're driving a slurry underneath the concrete other pressures that slurry had a tendency the Coleman to the wouldn't spread and therefore created pressure in the country increasing the probability of cracking it polyurethane goes on there's a liquid smaller hole to require MLS holes therefore less obtrusive job especially if you're doing a residential environment where you're doing a whole deck and patio or walkway or somebody's driveway okay tip is put insert inside the hole desert is nothing more than in an injection port it's got a check valve in it that prevents ascetical to follow urethane to come back into his gun he's now attached a patented HMI elite one flood to the dirt he has created therefore an air purge system is that important it's critical air purge system gains that gun is perpetually driving air through that hole as he is injecting and after he injects an Iver food material sets up that leads a small worm hole that perpetually in it so he can keep injecting more material without the hole that allows him to feather in a little bit of polyurethane wait ten to fifteen seconds let it set up see the movement and keep injecting now this is the world of concrete it's not the real world this is the one whole demo gif is objecting in one hole if it was the real world he'd probably have three or four starts on that clap and because that hole always remains open he can keep moving the gun from hole to hole controlling the pitch and the angle of the lift that allows him to that's choice to eliminate trip hazard hitches slab away from the foundation from drainage whatever the purpose of the job is how you doing down there the slab was starting to move he is controlling it with the lift by the way with the fingers of his hand he will feel that slab move before you see it move he's probably going to try to get it to come up about an eighth of an inch or a quarter of an inch it's gonna make this concrete lasting Friday how far you he's up in an eighth of an inch he's going to declare victory on his lip and he moves on to the last part of the process remember I said drills from patch he merely reduces gun foot is hurt posted third up out and then catches his hole with a little mix of Portland the sand and he is corrected the problem and instead of ripping the slant reporting a new slab he has in a matter of minutes corrected the problem and double repair highly efficient very very possible and for the property owner incredibly efficient because usually bosses one half the cost of the replacement polyurethane contradicting commendeth addition to existing tensions as an additional profit service now let's talk about filling the concrete or about what's him we broke this product to the market yesterday this is new this is called built on the work speaks for itself it is 4.0 what you're telling lies Goebbels tunnels abandoned tanks wells van and wells price sinkholes backfilling excavation around foundation for the material that's very low cost and as relatives will wait to the environment for bourbon now this is not a polyurethane this is a resin banks phone what does that mean well it's got different characteristics the most important one no whatsoever so all the issues of a lot of material being flown in generated heat are gone it is very global literally this material for a mile so here filling a pipe until at one point and it will follow that pipe through mine we filled that Joker's pipe right there other than a couple did I give you some visualization of how fast this happens we're going to mix them up in the trailer you'll be able to see how it's all described the pipe it will go through that hole you get the density of this bolt at the jobsite by dialing in when you want 10 or 55 psi that will also affect the speed of the setup and as you see Jay is actually started with course to fill that tank you give you some idea the scale potential here are larger equipment setups will allow you to pump up to 60 cubic yards per hour most materials [Music] well it's a very fast efficient and highly profitable service it was also fire retardant you came to the London ways to make money but I tried introduced you to his systems materials so they can allow you to have different services to businesses i hope i pickled two blocks by a lettuce in your wonderful country how can i ask you a couple questions is there if a guy wants to learn more about doing this and how to price it out and charge it and get more information where would they go when he asked it again yeah so if a guy wanted more information on how to price the song kind of they wanted to actually look at actually taking this on inside of their own industry or their own business where would they go what were they doing they go to HMI company.com we run seminars around the country every month no obligation just come to the seminar we run all the equipment let us help you develop an own business plan your marketing plan then make your decision so you'll teach the guys hands on how to actually do that and then they make an offensive value and you'll teach them how to price it out absolutely part of the whole program is estimating and pricing which varies around the country based on the alternatives I was going to say because in California the guys can charge three four five times more than they can and Michigan [Music] Racing up early turn native service provider so pricing for flat much different than central to gravity so how long does it take to master something like that that's a great question generally find that after customer has formed projects well what about trying to get to the 20 project stage that's got to be a little nerve-wracking we deliver the equipment of work with you for a day or more until your time so they'll take they'll go out to the guys jobsite hold their hand and walk them step-by-step through their very first project absolutely not only that you gotta remember something what every project is completely different there's no to lift a jack if you ever woke up [Music] text it over to your account manager they will tell you where to drill the holes and proximally how much shut the front door alright thanks Paul I appreciate it I here's the deal you got in this video is not sponsored cool
