What happens here
Understand the components of the sap collection system: 'drop lines,' 'lateral lines,' and 'main lines.' Drop lines are short tubes that connect directly to the tree taps. Lateral lines are longer, thinner blue tubes running horizontally between trees, to which multiple drop lines attach. Main lines are larger white lines that collect sap from several lateral lines and transport it down the mountain to the sugar house. Connect a fresh drop line to a lateral line using a specialized cutting and crimping tool. This tool simultaneously cuts the lateral line and crimps the drop line into place, ensuring a tight seal for vacuum-assisted sap flow.
Goal: Set up the tubing network to efficiently transport sap from trees.
