How a patio roof fails 🤔 follow local codes hire professionals 💪 #patiocover #porch #build

What happens here

Measure out the desired distance from the existing structure where the posts will be located. Mark these spots on the ground with spray paint. Then, use a post hole digger to excavate the footings. Once the holes are dug, install a post base, securing it with an anchor drilled into the ground using a rotary hammer, and tightening it with a wrench. Concrete (not shown) would typically be poured into the footing to permanently set the post base.

Goal: Establish secure footings for patio roof posts.
