What happens here
After assembling the main cabinet boxes, install the fixed shelves and adjustable shelf pins. For fixed shelves, drill pocket holes on the ends of the shelf piece and secure it to the cabinet sides with wood glue and pocket screws. For adjustable shelves, use a shelf pin jig to drill evenly spaced holes on the inside of the cabinet sides. Then, insert shelf pins into these holes. Cut the 1/2 inch plywood for the cabinet backs to size and attach them to the back of the cabinet boxes using wood glue and brad nails. This adds rigidity and keeps the cabinets square.
Goal: Install shelves and complete the cabinet structure with backs.
