Masking and Protecting Surfaces

What happens here

Protect all areas not intended for paint by meticulously masking them. Use a masking machine to apply masking paper with tape along the foundation and other large non-painted surfaces. For windows and doors, use blue painter's tape to create sharp lines and then cover the glass and door panels with plastic sheeting. Ensure light fixtures are either completely removed or thoroughly masked with tape and paper. For ground protection, lay down drop cloths or additional plastic sheeting around the perimeter of the house. This thorough masking ensures clean lines and prevents accidental paint application on unintended surfaces.

Goal: Carefully mask off all non-painted surfaces, including windows, doors, light fixtures, and the ground, using a combination of masking tape, paper, and plastic sheeting to protect them from paint overspray.
