Head Flashing 101: School is in session ✏️📚
What happens here
Once the corner is properly formed, position the metal flashing onto the wooden substrate (e.g., a fascia board, trim board, or wall framing) where it is to be permanently installed. Ensure the flashing is properly aligned and seated. Using a hammer, drive small nails through the top flange of the flashing and into the wood. Place nails at regular intervals (typically every 12 to 16 inches) along the length of the flashing to secure it firmly. The video demonstrates this by tapping two nails near the newly formed corner.
Goal: Securely attach the custom-fabricated metal flashing to the intended wooden surface.
