What happens here

The stock seat was replaced with a spring seat for a custom appearance, though the creator notes it's less comfortable. The rear suspension springs were removed and replaced with a straight strut bar, resulting in a more rigid, 'hardtail' feel. The stock battery cover was zip-tied onto the bike, as the Electronic Control Module (ECM) from the 2008 model (and newer 2007+ models) needed to be relocated from the rear to underneath this cover. The paint on the battery cover is described as having issues.

Goal: Install a spring seat and rigid rear suspension while relocating the ECM.

Tools and materials

  • Spring Seat — Custom seating for aesthetic purposes
  • Straight Strut Bar — Replacing the rear suspension for a rigid setup
  • Zip Ties — Securing the battery cover

with the brake light back here went over the spring seat it's uh pretty uncomfortable but i like how it looks i'm gonna get rid of the springs in the back as well just did a straight strut bar right here so uncomfortable ride but again all for looks now the paint on here is super bad for some reason it didn't dry right in the garage or whatever and it has runs and stuff but here's my battery cover it's all zip tied on because with the 07 in newer i believe this is a 2008 with the 07 and newer the ecm is in the back here and i obviously couldn't keep the ecm back here so i had to relocate it underneath the battery cover
