Guess What We're Building! Another Massive Earth Moving Farm Project Today!

What happens here

Prior to construction, various types of pipes are staged near the creek crossing: multiple 30-inch diameter old steel gas line pipes, and one large 4-foot diameter corrugated metal pipe. The source of fill dirt for the bridge construction is identified as a nearby catch pond, created years prior for cattle water supply. The dozer begins by driving through the existing crossing, clearing some of the current debris and mud to create a basic path for pipe placement.

Goal: Gather necessary materials and prepare the immediate crossing area.

Tools and materials

  • 30-inch Steel Gas Line Pipes — Primary water flow culverts for the bridge
  • 4-foot Corrugated Metal Pipe — Main overflow culvert for heavy rain events
  • Fill Dirt Local — Building up the bridge structure and covering the pipes
