What happens here
Complete the construction of the hollow truss beam by closing off the top of the U-channel. Select another pre-cut piece of wooden lumber that matches the width of the bottom piece of the U-channel, or is slightly wider if an overhang is desired for architectural detail. Carefully place this top piece onto the U-channel, ensuring it is properly aligned with all edges and any previously attached decorative trim. Using the nail gun, secure this top piece to the vertical sides of the U-channel with finishing nails. Drive nails at regular intervals along both sides to firmly enclose the beam, creating a finished and sturdy hollow component of the truss.
Goal: Complete the hollow truss beam by closing the U-channel
