What happens here

With the L-shaped side sections ready, proceed to assemble the main U-channel beam. Lay a wider piece of wooden lumber flat on a stable work surface; this will serve as the bottom of the U-channel beam. Position one of the pre-assembled L-shaped sections (from the previous step) onto one long edge of this bottom piece. Ensure the vertical part of the 'L' is flush with the edge of the bottom piece and the horizontal part lies flat on top of it. Using the nail gun, securely fasten the L-shaped section to the bottom piece with finishing nails. Repeat this process for the other L-shaped section on the opposite long edge of the bottom piece. This will create a sturdy U-shaped channel, which will be the basis of your hollow truss beam.

Goal: Construct the main U-channel for the truss beam
