Gardening 101: Easy essential tools for growing your garden in 2022!

What happens here

Once started, guide the tiller into the garden bed. The tiller is designed to pull itself through the soil, reducing manual effort. The operator simply needs to steer and allow the machine to do the work. The tiller also features a reverse function: pressing one handle (usually the top one) engages forward drive, while pressing the other (on the rear) engages reverse. The tines also reverse direction, which is useful for dislodging the tiller from roots, rocks, or other obstacles by backing up. Continue tilling in rows, allowing the machine to prepare the soil effectively.

Goal: Demonstrate operating the tiller for cultivation, emphasizing its self-propelling nature, and utilize the reverse function to navigate obstacles.

nice [Music] all right guys what you're seeing here is this tiller is just plowing through the soil man it's just pulling me right along really i don't have to worry about it i think it's going to be great for dad's back troubles he can just drive this thing right down and till up anything that he wants to till now he tilled the rest of the garden with a rototiller on the back of his tractor but you can't run that rototiller through to do your weeding so he'll be running that thing back and forth in between the rows to do some weeding and you can see there's a row right beside me that has some beets and then another row that has onions that is an avid gardener and the garden spot just gets bigger and bigger and bigger every year now you can see where i came to the end of the row and it has a reverse so in other words if you press the one handle on the top it'll drive you forward and drive the tines and if you press the handle on the rear it'll drive you backwards and it'll reverse the tines that way when it's reversing the tines and reversing the wheels if you get hung up on a root or a rock or something you can back right off of it and then just keep hitting it going down the road what an awesome machine guys this thing is great no complaints at all we'll see after about a year we'll revisit this and see how dad likes it so i misspoke when i talked about the counter rotating tines both sets of tines rotate the same direction they just rotate in the opposite direction that the wheels rotate in other words it pulls it down into the soil you can see that right here man this thing's doing great
