Part two of replacing our sink faucet and garb disposal. Up to this point, we've removed the old sink faucet garb disposal. We've redid our hot and cold water lines. We did some soldering. We put on some female style angle stops. And now we're ready to install the sink. So, come along. Let's get to fixing. If this was a self- like a cast iron or something, then I would probably put the faucet on before I put it in place. It just would make it easy. But we've got clips to go around it on the underside. So, we'll just get this mounted before we do anything else. Okay, this is already a big upgrade for our sink area. With this particular sink, you're going to want more room around the side than I had for this. Okay, I couldn't put these clips on the front. I couldn't figure out how to make them actually tighten down on the back. I did get four clips, two on each side. It took me about an extra hour and a half. I had to bend them. I had to work them. I had a lot of particular things going on here that were uber frustrating that made me say I would probably never install this sink again. I do love the look of it, but the mounting brackets are not my favorite. Just make sure it's in there square. A quarter. Okay. Remove this cap. The other one I think we're just going to silicone on. Next up is the faucet. This is by Weew Wee. We went really inexpensive here, but this faucet's got a lot of great reviews. should mount up really quick and easy. And there's nothing in our way here. The faucet already has the seal put on it. Let's get this whole thing down in through here. We go. Rubber washer, regular washer, the tool/mounting nut. You don't have to take any of this apart yet. It's very long- winded. Okay, get that for the most part tight. Come up top one more time. Make sure that that is straight. And then I like to get a basin wrench up on there and just a little bit tighter. We are going to bleed out both the hot and cold side angle stops to get any debris or air from the line. And then we will hook up the supply lines handtight to the angle stops. And then give them about a half a turn to a full turn with your pliers to tighten up the rest of the way. Last piece of the faucet we have to put on underneath here is this wake. There's a little white piece of tape on this pullout hose. You just simply open this up, wrap it around there, and it clips in place. We're going to hit the dishwasher back here real quick. I wish I'd have bought a braided flex for this, but I did not. So, we're going to risk it for the biscuit for a couple of days. I'm just going to take this and chop that fresh right there. Let's go down just a touch bit lower. All right, we're going to chop that polyline. Just flush it clean off this old nut off of here. We're going to go with new nut. I wasn't trying to use that old plastic fereral. Pretty mangled. So, we'll put a new one on. Grab ourselves a little mega lock just around the fereral. That's the part that seals. All right, get that on there as handtight as we can go here. Oh, great. My tripod is broken. Does not want to stay up at this point. Okay, we're going to hook up the fridge line tomorrow cuz that's way too much for right now. I might not even have installed a garbage disposal, but my wife wanted one. New Incinerator, 3/4 horsepower. This is the Power Series, stainless steel insides. This bad boy comes with that new easy connect cord. I think you guys are going to really like how this hooks up. I know. I'm excited to try it out. Next, we're going to grab the garbage disposal sink flange. We'll loosen up these screws so we can get the retainer clip off to get this thing puttied up. Get that centered in there the best you can. I like to take something just a little heavy. Set it on the top. Either that or if you got another person, they'll hold that for you. This ring usually sits like that. I like to take it and just get it to right there. Take our whole collar setup here. Paper first and get it right up on there like so. Hold one side down and just go around till you get this other side to clip in place. Screw all these down handtight. That way they're even. Check up top one more time. Make sure that didn't move. Grab our screwdriver and start tightening. I just like to rotate around. tighten them all evenly until it's completely tightened up. If you come up to the top, you're going to see the plumbers's putty ooze out. You're able to peel that off and then take a screwdriver, go around the skinny edge, get all that out, good to go. If you're running your dishwasher drain like this through your garbage disposal, you're going to want to pop this piece right here out. Not really seen this new style finangled thing yet, but I'm excited about that. Guess I haven't installed a garbage disposal in a long time. I've been on septic for so long. You just take your garbage disposal tool that comes with it. Pop that there. Pops right out. Now we can just hook right up to this. Next thing we'll do is grab our new cord. You got to remove this screw and it take this and it really just slides in as far as I can tell. Tighten this back down. Doesn't get easier than that, man. If you don't know, down here on the bottom is if your Incinerator garbage disposal gets jammed, you can stick this tool right here in it. Not only does this tool help you take the disposal off and put the disposal on, but it also helps you if you've got a jam. Is there no more reset button, though? After reading the instruction manual, it says that now you're supposed to shut it off and let it cool down for 20 minutes, then do it, and it should be good. There's no more manual reset. Wild. Just take this, get it up in place, turn this ring with the loops on it clockwise. Now, you want to grab your disposal wrench. You want to stick it in one of the loops on the ring, and you want to turn that clockwise until it won't turn anymore. Then you want to take your channel locks. You want to get right here and give that a pinch in place. That is going to lock your disposal on. It's not going to come off anymore. And you're still going to be allowed to move it. I grabbed a new P trap setup. This was cheap enough. The other one's 30 years old. These are slip ring washers. And these are actually rubber slip ring washers. So, an easy way to measure up your new drain is to take your garbage disposal 90 and install it on your disposal. You take this big washer. You stick that on and then you stick the 90 with the plate on there. Screw the screws on. You You'll now know where your peach trap needs to go. It looks like we didn't need a 45. We didn't need to cut off our trap adapter. this would have worked just fine the way that it was. The nice thing about tubular drains is this all just screws together with those compression slip joints and this whole thing comes together very easy. Now you want to tighten up the screws on your garbage disposal 90. Grab your dishwasher drain hose. Plug that into the outlet. Tighten up that worm clamp. Plug in your garbage disposal. Turn on your angle stops for your faucet. And now we're ready to go up top and do some testing. Pop the garbage disposal splash guard down into the collar. Get the sticker off the sprayer head. I like to remove the sprayer head and then test both hot and cold. That way we don't get anything caught up in there if there is some debris in the line. Test the functions of the sprayer head. And we're going to go ahead and we're going to fill up the kitchen sink. So, for a good test, I like to fill the sink up two or three times, dump it, check it out, make sure there's no leaks, check the function of the garbage disposal, turn it on and off. Keep your garbage disposal wrench somewhere handy. I guess keep that plug for the disposal port as well. Next, we'll test the dishwasher. When I test this, I like to just turn it on, let it fill. As soon as I know that it starts the wash cycle, I'll hit cancel. Let that drain. Make sure there's nothing leaking anywhere. And we can begin caulking. Grab yourself a contractor sponge. I like to use a siliconized acrylic caulk. That way, it's easy water cleanup. Cleans up looking pretty. Give it some dry time, and it's going to be good to rock and roll. So, we need to silicone this hole cover. So, we just pop that off. Put some silicone around it. Pop it back in and clean it up. And that should keep this watertight. We're going to let this dry and then we're going to hook up a new line to the fridge tomorrow. Today, we're going be hooking up the fridge line right here. So, I'm using plastic discussions, but what I'm going to do is I'm going to raise this up, take some of my caulk from yesterday, and I'm actually just going to go right around this whole thing. action. No rust, no mus. We're not going to have any issues. Cut this quarterinch polyline. Going to put on a new knot, a new plastic fereral with the bevel side up. I'm going to put in a brass stiffener inside of this to make sure that when you tighten down the fereral, it the pipe doesn't collapse on itself. Like any other fereral, I'm always going to put just a little bit of Megalock around it there. Once it's handtight, just give it a little bit more. About one full turn, maybe a turn and a half. Slowly open this quarter turn. Oh. All right. Let's do that a couple more times. A lot of air in that water. Check back here one more time. Check under here one more time. The faucet installed super easy. The garbage disposal installed super easy. Just know that everybody struggles with this kind of stuff. two and a half extra hours, two extra hours, something crazy on this sink. Like, that's home ownership. That's life. At least that's my life. Well, I really hope you folks are enjoying the videos. You can please subscribe, click the like button. You know, we're doing this full time now. We'd love to keep doing it.
