From Peeling Paint to Perfect Finish: Exterior Door Jamb Prep Guide

What happens here

Using an EkaSand 3x4 sander equipped with a coarse grit EkaSilk 1/2" sponge abrasive, thoroughly sand all flat surfaces of the door jamb where paint is peeling or wood is exposed. For the more intricate, contoured, and routed edges of the door jamb, switch to an 80 grit EkaStorm flat abrasive. Ensure all loose paint is removed and the surface is smooth and ready for primer adhesion.

Goal: Remove all loose paint and create a smooth surface for new coatings.
