From Peeling Paint to Perfect Finish: Exterior Door Jamb Prep Guide

What happens here

After the first coat of paint has dried completely (refer to paint manufacturer's instructions for dry times), apply a second coat of Sherwin Williams Latitude Exterior Acrylic Latex paint. Follow the same application technique as the first coat: use the Kodawwool 3/8" roller cover to apply the paint rapidly, then immediately back-brush with the Premier Riverdale 3" brush. This second coat will provide full opacity, cover any remaining light spots, and result in a durable, uniform, and professional-looking finish. Once the second coat is dry, carefully remove all masking tape and paper to reveal the newly painted door jamb.

Goal: Complete the painting process with a durable and professional finish.
