Flip Top Tool Stand (Welded Steel)

What happens here

Once the wooden tops are mounted to the frame, the final step involves attaching the tools to these tops. The creator drills holes through the tools' mounting points and the wooden tops. Long carriage bolts are inserted through these holes from the top of the tool, through the wooden base, and secured with washers and nuts from underneath. This 'sandwich' mounting technique, as described earlier, ensures extreme stability. After securing the tools, an angle grinder is used to trim the excess length of the carriage bolts flush with the nuts, creating a neat and safe finish. This completes the mobile workstation, ready for use with either the planer or sander.

Goal: The tools (planer and sander) are securely mounted to their respective wooden tops using carriage bolts. The bolts are then trimmed flush to ensure a clean finish and smooth operation of the flip-top workstation.
