FIXING A TOILET NOISE THAT WILL COST YOU A LOT OF MONEY!
What happens here
Unbox the new Fluidmaster PerforMAX Toilet Fill Valve. First, slide the new gasket onto the threaded base of the fill valve, ensuring the beveled side is facing down to create a proper seal. Adjust the height of the fill valve by extending the main shaft so that the top of the valve is roughly flush with the top edge of the toilet tank. Secure this height by pushing down the blue clip on the shaft. Insert the adjusted fill valve into the hole at the bottom of the toilet tank. From underneath the tank, hand-tighten the large plastic nut onto the threaded base of the fill valve. For a final snug fit, use pliers to tighten the nut an additional quarter turn, taking care not to overtighten. Finally, reconnect the water supply line to the fill valve, hand-tightening it first, and then using pliers for a quarter-turn adjustment.
Goal: Assemble the new Fluidmaster fill valve and secure it in the toilet tank.
