I WANTED TO BUY THIS TRUCK!!...THEY JUST GAVE IT TO ME!!

so hey folks that fix it guy here and guess what i got a new truck well at least it's new to me all right so a little while back my friend reached out to me and said hey brian i think it's time that i get rid of the truck i said what like you know first thing went through my head is i think i want to buy it and so i i said hey i'd love to buy it and she said no if you want it it's yours we're gonna give it to you me and the truck have some good history um my friend that passed away a couple years ago this is his truck right um it's an awesome truck i love it i've helped him drive across country twice when he got out of the military i helped him drive it to vermont when he met his wife and they wanted to move to montana i helped him drive from vermont to montana so i mean i know this truck very well i've got some good stories with this truck that comes along with it and so i just want to show it i just want to show it to you today like we're gonna take a look around we'll check it out um there's gonna be a lot of work that comes out of this thing i'm not that fond of being a mechanic but for this truck i'm willing to be a mechanic it's gonna be awesome man so come along let's get to fixing [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right so i'm gonna do this before it really starts downpouring on me here this is a 96 ford f-150 all right xl look at that xl it's been setting the whole pandemic all right my friend had it sent up here for me it's got a couple gas tanks i've heard there's an issue with one we're gonna have to get that figured out you can see a couple of these places right here where some tie downs probably wore in there this this truck bed has been filled up more than a couple of times all the tires look like they're a little bit low she doesn't start check it out she's a she's an old truck from texas um pretty awesome got some old dents and some dings but that's character right there let's get up inside see what we got going on for any of you youngsters out there she's actually a manual gonna be a four speed check that out all right that's gonna be fun times we got some cracks in the dash we might have to figure out how we're going to fix that up um you can see right down here totally a plumber's truck right because here is an old delta faucet tool which i love it i love that that's there um there is uh some serious staining in the seat we'll see if uh some super clean and our washer will get that out we've got a couple of rips we'll do something with that get up here the head rest and it's just you know it's hooked up let's go around to the driver's side looks like there's uh maybe some rattling going on i love it just to stuff some paper towel and it's all good see what we got going on back behind the seat here see what i can do one-handed oh yeah um well we're gonna have to do a little repair on the seat back no problem looks like we hold on looks like we got some chains back there we got some brake fluid yeah we got a couple things got a couple ratchet straps that's good cool um let's let's put a key in this bad boy see what we got i i'm pretty positive it doesn't run um but it's worth a shot right if i can show you how many miles are on it right now i will see if we can get down right here we got nothing so first thing before we do anything else we're gonna have to put a battery in it all right oh man this is gonna be fun i'm gonna tell you this seed's got to come back oh i don't think it comes back is it going back anymore oh oh man let's see if we can get the seat back that's as far back as she goes all right folks well it's starting to rain on us out here pretty good and the sun is getting a little bit low we're gonna have to get a battery for this thing that's the first thing i don't know how many miles are on it i can't turn it over right we need a battery so that's the first thing we're going to do tomorrow um before i go i just want to say if you have some kind of emotional distress in
