Install Trace Wire

What happens here

Lay a trace wire (e.g., 12-gauge wire) alongside the entire length of the newly installed drain pipe. Securely tape the wire to the top of the pipe at regular intervals using electrical tape. Leave enough slack at the ends to extend above ground level. This trace wire will allow for easy location of the buried pipe using a metal detector in the future, if needed for maintenance or further excavation.

Goal: Enable future location of the buried pipe.
