Fencing Like A Pro...Knot tying..Pulling wire tight and more!
What happens here
Attach a heavy-duty chain stretcher (come-along) to the fence. The chain stretcher has two jaws that grip the fence wire. Once attached, use the lever handle to 'walk' the chain up, gradually applying tension and lifting the fence section further from the ground and towards the fence posts. The chain stretcher used is a 'Strain Right' brand, which has a walking mechanism that allows for continuous tensioning. The fence is then pulled against the post. This step requires significant force and is a critical part of achieving the desired fence height and tension.
Goal: Pull the fence wire to its final tension and position against the posts.
