Farmer gives his parents $1000.00 Gift Card to Northern Tool! Will Mom Cry?

[Music] guys welcome to the stoney ridge farm we wish you a merry christmas it's christmas day here 2021. the dogs are out in the yard playing go play go play um and i've got a huge fun awesome surprise what i'm doing today is something that's kind of near and dear and very special to me so northern tool has been a huge supporter of rural content here on the channel and what i'm gonna do is go down and support my parents with a awesome northern tool gift card so i got a thousand dollar gift card for my parents and i told them we're gonna go down to northern tool and do a little bit of shopping and i want to video you guys doing it and hopefully we can get a huge discount on the stuff that you guys pick out now my parents are camping type folks they're farming type folks they live in the country and my stepdad is a big tool to file he's been wanting a welder for a very long time so i got a thousand dollar gift card and today we're gonna be giving my parents a thousand dollars little early to get up isn't it how y'all doing this morning fine how you doing this is barry and this is debbie hey that's grandma stoney ridge and one of the grandpa stoney ridges so first thing we're gonna do is i'm taking my parents out for christmas breakfast a couple days before christmas here obviously and then we're heading down to northern tool so gonna fill their tummies up uh big thanks to my parents for just being good people it's been awesome been a great experience barry is my stepdad and he's he's just a great guy he just took us in as kids when we were 12 13 in that snotty mean age uh and uh he's just always been there and he's helped me a whole lot with the livestock here on the farm so uh part of my passion for farming comes from these guys it's great all right guys we're on the way to northern tool and it's about a 40-minute drive from my house about a 45-minute drive from my parents place i took them out to breakfast and what i think is important here is that you know despite all the troubles i was into so give you a little back history you see my dad in a lot of sawmill videos out here on the farm and a few other videos and you see my stepdad in a lot of the videos where we're doing farming type stuff i you know i never really took any interest in the farm growing up and my stepdad was kind of a horse trader in other words he bought and sold horses and cows and stuff like that for as long as i can remember every week we'd go down to the horse sale and that's what my stepdad did that was kind of his little side gig and now he's retired and that's his permanent gig i had absolutely no interest in any of that back in my older days and my high school days and about at age 26 i was in the air force i got out of the air force and moved back home to virginia and at the age of about 26 i sparked a little bit of an interest in farming and agriculture basically due to my stepdad barry that we're taking down here now i know barry's got more of a use for a lot of the stuff that we can pick up here today at northern tool so mom has dogs mom raises dogs she shows dogs she's really into her dog she does welch corgis and she also does australian shepherds right now so really cool i you know giving back to my parents i finally reached the level of success that i'm able to to give back and i think it's really important when you're a young man and you're working hard and you finally reach a level of success that you can give something back to your parents and your family i think it's something that's truly special so this is near and dear to my heart guys and uh you guys are near and dear to my heart i appreciate all of you following the channel and uh and being part of this dream being part of what's going on and also being part of my success if not for you guys we wouldn't be able to do this so and a big shout out to northern tool also for helping out with this project and opening the store up to where we could come in there and enjoy it um it's just it's all it's it's heartwarming to me for sure now will mom cry that's the question we gotta ask will mom cry i don't know we'll see all right are y'all ready do a little bit of christmas shopping yeah we're ready what are you looking for you don't know she don't know i don't know doesn't know surprisingly i'm looking for a welder a welder let's go on inside
