Broken Tractor issues....Here's how I fixed it!

all right guys and gals we are with papa stoney ridge here and papa stoney ridge is getting to use a massey ferguson 240 for a few years we're gonna park it down here in dad's place and i got an issue let me show you what the issue is and we're getting ready to do a little bit of macgyver work so check it out um i apologize about the shaky footage this is on my phone you can see that is broken right there and that is what supports this foot pedestal right here so see how it's shaking so we got to order a new part you can see it's been welded a couple times it's cast and it's very difficult to weld so my idea was a hose clamp right here okay and we'll just take um dad will you hold that right there for me just right there okay so we're gonna take a piece of rubber hose and we're gonna wrap that guy up right there and that's on the top side on the bottom side i've lost my other rubber hose i'm going to put another piece this is just a small piece of rubber hose split down the middle and we'll put it right here on the bottom and this is a temporary fix until we get the part so that kind of holds it together and we're going to take a clamp right here just a regular hose clamp i'll snug that guy down so the dad is safe mowing with this tractor got to be safe snug this guy down as snug as i can get it without it breaking now little bit more i'm bad about breaking stuff so i got to be careful that's it okay so that is your contingency repair for a broken piece right here you can see i'm gonna grab it on the end shake it right there looks great awesome
