Exploring ABANDONED Route 66 with My Racecar! (Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma)

What happens here

The explorer pulls off Route 66 in McLean, Texas, to examine an abandoned motel and a nearby gas station. He notes the motel's overgrown parking lot and dilapidated rooms with boarded-up doors and broken windows. He then moves to a gas station structure across the street, finding old credit card logos (Mastercard from 1979-1990, Discover Novus from 1985-1996) on the signs that help date its closure to the late 80s or early 90s. He cautiously enters the adjacent building, observing discarded parts, tools, and personal items, including *diapers* and *paint cans* left behind. He notes the building seems relatively untouched by vandals compared to other sites.
