What happens here
After the base coat with embedded flakes has fully cured (typically 12-24 hours, refer to manufacturer instructions), lightly scrape or sand any standing flakes to create a smoother surface. Then, sweep and vacuum the entire floor to remove all loose flakes and debris. Once clean, mix and apply the clear epoxy top coat using a clean roller. Apply the top coat evenly, ensuring full coverage over the flaked surface. This layer seals the flakes, provides UV protection, adds durability, and creates a glossy finish. Wear spiked shoes throughout the application to avoid marking the wet top coat.
Goal: Seal the flakes and protect the floor with a clear epoxy top coat
