Don’t Replace your Leaking Hose Bib! Rebuild It Instead

What happens here

First, disconnect any garden hose or attachment from the outdoor faucet. Then, open the faucet completely to allow any residual water in the line to drain. After the water has drained, use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen and remove the screw holding the faucet handle in place, and then carefully remove the handle. Next, using two pairs of Knipex Cobra pliers, securely grip the faucet body and the packing nut. Note that this packing nut has left-hand threads, so turn it clockwise to loosen and remove it. Once loose, carefully extract the entire internal stem/rod assembly from the faucet body.

Goal: Prepare the faucet for internal component replacement by removing the handle and stem assembly
