DIY Under Desk Printer Stand

What happens here

Address the issue of paper sliding off the bottom tray by adding a simple dowel fence. Cut quarter-inch dowels to the exact length of the paper tray's front opening. Apply wood glue to the dowels and secure them in a line along the front of the paper tray, creating small compartments. These dowels will act as a guard, preventing paper from falling out when the cabinet is moved. Wipe away any excess glue with a damp rag.

Goal: Prevent paper from falling off the bottom tray during cabinet movement.

Tools and materials

  • Husky Miter Box Saw Husky — Cutting the quarter-inch dowels to length
  • Measuring Tape — Measuring the length for the dowels
  • 1/4 inch Dowels — Creating the paper tray fence
  • Damp Rag — Wiping off excess wood glue

process my only issue with this build that the bottom paper tray would not have anything to prevent the paper from falling off to the side when the cabin was moved so I came up with a last minute design where I took Quin dowels and I cut them to exact perfect tight sizes and would glue them in in a line now they didn't need to hold any kind of weight basically just paper weight but creating a small fence worked as a perfect guard to keep the paper in place
