What happens here
After reassembling the battery compartment, flip the scale over. Power it on to perform a test. The display should now show '0.0', confirming that the electrical connection has been successfully restored and the scale is working again. Then, reattach the side button panels. Ensure the small springs that act as button contacts are correctly positioned before snapping the panels back into place.
