Mail Call...Found Some Cool Vintage Tools on Ebay!

i don't know if anybody's going to be in here and away we go say good morning good morning so logan fix it and i we've been busy today logan got up super early this morning and he went and he picked blackberries with mom and we had fresh blackberry pancakes that was awesome good morning steve how you doing bro um so one reason why we're doing a live stream this morning is because man i have had the worst week of trying to shoot videos like i can't even begin to describe how many times i stopped and i started because something completely failed i just gave up i said we're done so logan said hey you know dad maybe we can open up this package that you got for everybody and so i was on ebay looking around found some cool stuff and you know it's one thing i've been thinking about things that i could do for giveaways um just different kinds of stuff and i really wanted to kind of give people tools right so i've been going around for a little while one of my things i really like collecting vintage tools and so and i also really want to get into fixing up old vintage tools and then giving them away so that's what my subscribers will get whenever i do a giveaway at least right now right i'm i don't have a lot of money so i'm finding just ways that i can still give away cool stuff and um that was one of the reasons behind this so we have this package and we've got some pretty cool things in it i think um and i just wanted to show you a little logan fix it here he wanted to see it too we tried to go with littlefixit he does not like that he hates it he literally hates it so loganfix it is an awesome little name do you want to open this okay no germs for a little thick mr fix it there he does not want that okay so they double wrapped it which a package inside of a package do you want to open this one okay so let's see if we can get this one open do you think there's another package in here thank you for whoever sent this to me because it's pretty fun um i might need to go get a knife yeah i probably should have a knife right here but i don't so we're gonna do some cool stuff fixing some of these things up i'm pretty excited first up old school screwdriver right these are pretty cool logan i know you've never seen one of these look at that pretty cool huh so i mean i think it'd be pretty cool right to to polish that up buff it up to hook up the wood uh oh maybe you should start restoring a pair of scissors maybe yeah dude i mean i probably should have a knife on my desk um it's just hard with kids to like really have knives laying around i'll tell you a little fix it right i have this little cool um cricket auto auto open little everyday carry that i use a lot well i keep it in my nightstand drawer man and this dude got in there and opens it up well he can't figure out how to close it so he just leaves it laying underneath my bed and my wife finds it and freaks out so oh awesome jared 4 under 12 dude man i we struggle too dude so congrats bro you're awesome at any time man people that have a lot of kids i'm always i love it i think it's awesome so that was a pretty cool one huh so check out this old this is an old tremo pipe wrench this little bad boy is awesome whoever gets this is going to be cool right because i can i believe that i can take this handle off we'll get it all sanded down and hooked up and oh he's already claiming the tools he didn't want to touch him five seconds ago but this is a cool little old specimen of a pipe wrench man it's like a nice little um eight inch wrench yeah this somebody will love this right i mean this is this is gonna be a cool little addition to anybody's tool set i mean this is still a very functional awesome little wrench um let's see what else what else we got in this magic box so we got this old cool um ford wrench ford style wrench um cool little adjustable jaw i love it man i love that we just found all these little kind of cool mini tools right and so i think that if we hey come back here with those tools oh yeah like of course they're all like his size tools too so he's like freaking out and loving it right um but dude they do not you're right steve they do not make tools like this anymore man so really cool this will be a nice one too i've actually thought about um getting a uh they make like these 3d printer wood burner things right like where they laser etch your like my logo into the thing which i think might be pretty cool is like a little souvenir for somebody so we'll see man i think they said they were 20 bucks i don't know how well those things work but my wife said oh yeah you should order one of those it'd be fun to check out oh you want to see what else is in there now guess what jared we're gonna get to restore an old pair of scissors i want to see those that's awesome i forgot these were in here look at these things these are cool too man very old school these little shears dude yeah you watch it with those be careful yeah it's awesome too not very excited about those scissors yes there's actually and so this this looks like a cool little old school pic or something i don't 100 know what it is i mean is it a little ice picked um i think it is dan you do okay come over here handle what's that point it's a clamp too wow pretty much cool yeah pretty cool and so yeah i don't know does anybody else know what this is like it's a it's an interesting little tool looks like it might yeah we're gonna have to do something with that it's got a little crack in it right there and we'll figure out something see if we can fix that up oh you put a weld on it oh wrangler star might know okay maybe i need to ask him yeah look a machinist scribe maybe cool cool and so then we've got this old durochrome it's just a little ratchet old school ratchet it's definitely seen its better days beat up a little bit but pretty cool what is that oh man this looks like dude i don't know i don't know this looks like the back side of a seat wrench right here so that right there looks like the backside of a seat range but i don't know it also could have went inside of a drill if these pull out which maybe they will at some point after we work on them a little bit maybe these will pull out and i mean made for cutting holes in drywall or something i don't know yeah super cool though i'm gonna do a little research i'm gonna do a little research on this little pick i'll figure out what this is this is a pretty cool little tool as well like the person that was selling them didn't really know what they were um but pretty sweet man i just uh wanted to share and heck you can't go wrong with old school scissors too these might just be yours jared at some point all right just cuz that's pretty sweet they're awesome man they'll look i think they'll look pretty cool i think you could probably um you know dip those like dip these handles as well and just make them look really awesome uh no no drywall when that was made you're right you're right so i don't know what that is like it's a cool it's a cool thing you could you could tell that both of these two arms extend out a lot too like they'll go out further um maybe we'll ask stony ridge to see if he knows tell him to come back and watch my live stream later he'll figure it out um but yeah so you know that's it's something i just wanted to show like what we got going on seems those sheers have some practical purposes yeah oh yeah no no those would be cool man like these these things are awesome i'm sure they probably are like a little because they're rounded edge they probably are some kind of old-school sheer for something um little logan fix it here man he is enamored with this screwdriver these are pretty cool i mean the fact that you just right and it's done um i think it's only flat no it's not only flathead but i don't know where i'm going to get a another bit like that for a changeable bit but that's cool this is gonna be fun man it's gonna be fun little projects to do yeah um so like i said you know i had a crazy week man i'm just trying to do all these things like i was trying to show how to drill a stainless steel sink and i'm using this step bit and then the step bit burns up my sink starts crumbling like my sink starts wobbling out a little bit it just was a fail and fail and then i was trying to do i've got a cool project with this awesome table that my brother hooked me up with and i was going to put some stuff on the bottom of the legs to keep it from rotting from the bottom up right you just want to make it last a little bit longer it's really wet where we live and i think it'd be really cool to do well i had some flex seal i was totally gonna hook it up logan fix it asked me if i could paint a shield for him so i painted this shield for him next thing you know i don't have any more i didn't realize it was gonna take so much to paint it so four stores four stores later and i finally found flex seal again blew my mind i i don't know what everybody's using this stuff for man but there was like literally nine out there and so i just kind of gave up um and i said well janae it's another night like i'm just telling my wife i'm sorry i'm starting over i'm going to bed i'm super tired like this is the first day i've had off in almost a month and i've just been hustling to hustle and hustling and so i'm like you know what all good like we'll we'll get back to it and so that's what we're going to do today first thing that i really want to do is i'm going to hang a picture so i'm just going to do a simple little video on hanging how to hang a picture like just a regular standard picture on this wall right here because we need to start putting some things in my office it's pretty bleak if you're not actually looking at the desk right um and i got a sweet picture hold on i'm gonna go get it for you guys like you'll get a sneak peek at how awesome this is and i can talk a little bit about it yeah so this right here is just a cool picture of an ice stock poster it's an ice stock poster from antarctica and it's gonna go right here and i think it looks awesome so for the uh couple people in here that don't know right my wife and i met in antarctica so it holds a very special place in my heart like lots of hard work and every year i don't know that every year they made posters they made a lot of t-shirts and stuff but every year they hold a really big concert um towards the end of the season and it's just awesome man i mean there's so many cool musically talented people down there they do so many cool things and you know we still have a bunch of friends that go my brother goes and so it was just awesome to get hooked up with this little bit of memorabilia like i seen it and i was like oh man i really yeah i'd really like to have one of those so very fortunate to get hooked up there um and so i'm just excited so i think that i'm gonna start small i've got a couple of little honeydews around the house that i mean nobody wants to see me install another few baby uh what are those things the anti-tip devices right and that's my wife who's in the back going yeah you need to get that done today so it's good is nice to have it off i'm gonna do a dump run and do a couple other things and hopefully i'm gonna start getting some more videos rocking so um jerry kananer could do you know a man by the name of virgil he is a heavy shot performing antarctica for some years i don't but you know i bet i'm i bet i know some people that do um for sure right i mean some there's just some people been going down there for a long time man they do some cool stuff um oh what were you asking jared is it brass what were you asking was brass i don't know um this scribe thing no nothing that we have is brass everything is rusting out at this point uh it's a very small world down there dude like it's it's quite awesome it really is um it was fun i don't know how else to describe it it was fun at some point at some point when this cobot thing dies down i really i would love to take you down to my friend harry's house um harry is the guy that just he is an amazing amazing person when it comes to the world of tools in the world of building and you know he is a uh a welder pipefitter amazing guy that does everything type of dude right he's an older guy he comes from a generation where you just do everything and i mean he does some amazing stuff i mean you will go down check out his jewelry set up i mean this guy you know he taught me how to build a knife he taught me he i made my wedding ring right um i mean he taught me how to do all kinds of stuff with jewelry and he's always fascinating and fun he has so many cool things that he's working on all the time and really just does cool stuff um so just fun fun fun well i know it's quick it's short and i mean i thank you guys for jumping on real quick i know not a lot of people right um but it's good it's always good to freaking say hi in the morning and i just wanted to show you these cool tools and i don't think i'm actually going to get that screwdriver back because a little fix he's just gone he just took it i still have a hard time not calling him little things because i thought of that but then another subscriber sandy she actually called out and said logan fix it and he likes that a lot more so thank you guys very much i appreciate um all the support and i really hope that i can get back to doing quality stuff for you soon all right thank you very much take care steve jared cotton i love you guys have a great day all right bye thanks bro
