Lay Bedding Material

What happens here

Evenly spread a layer of bedding material, such as 1 inch of concrete sand or limestone screenings, over the prepared concrete surface within the confines of the edge restraints. Use screed bars or guide rails set to the desired height and a straightedge to carefully screed the bedding material. This process ensures a uniform depth and a perfectly level (or slightly sloped for drainage) surface on which to lay the pavers.

Goal: Create a level and consistent base for the pavers.
